In Tuscany, Italy, this type of soup is traditionally cooked with wild game, but our version tastes great with or without the addition of pork or chicken. Our special seasonings add to the split peas' distinct and delicate flavor to create a smooth & creamy dish.

Tuscan Peasant Soup (16 oz)

  • Tuscan Peasant Soup
    ¼ cup olive oil
    1 large onion, chopped
    10 cups water
    In a large pot, Sauté onion in olive oil until tender. Add water; bring to a boil. Add soup mix and contents of spice packet, cook at a slow rolling boil for approx. 1 hour, or until beans have reached the desired tenderness. Add more water if necessary. Salt to taste. Makes 8 – 1 cup servings.

    INGREDIENTS: Yellow Split Peas, Dehydrated vegetables (carrots and
    parsley), Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Oregano, Basil, Garlic, Parsley.
